On March 2, the photo exhibition was launched in Nazran, in spite of the counter-terrorist operation being carried out
Despite the difficult situation in the Republic of Ingushetia, the FOCUS-MEDIA Foundation
presented the photo exhibition "The Russia’s North Caucasus on the Road of Change" on March 2 in Nazran. The exhibition was opened to the accompaniment of music in the recently opened ART-BOS Cultural and Educational Center.
The owners of the exhibition space warmly welcomed the exhibition and shared their plans for further development of the Center: there will be exhibiting artists, photographers, folk craftsmen; also, a club for young people is planned to open. The hosts even have ambitious plans to develop tourism in the region: to invite guests and show them sanctuaries in Ingushetia, the ancient defensive towers in secure areas of the republic.
The exhibited photographs attracted the attention and caused admiration, regret (of some photographers, who have not taken part in the competition), criticism and even resentment towards some photos. There was no one indifferent, and it is the main result, which the organizers had expected. Batyr Malsagov, photographer from Ingushetia, a historian and art director of the exhibition in Nazran, was awarded the memorial prize from the partners of the event - "AIF-North Caucasus” -, in "My Caucasus" nomination.
The main conclusion might be: the North Caucasus non-governmental and non-profit organizations are able to successfully work, their activities are necessary, because people want to live a peaceful and worthy life, developing all the good that has been accumulated by previous generations over hundreds of years.
