I CIVIL FORUM OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS OF THE NORTH CAUCASUS FEDERAL DISTRICT

Forum Resolution

The Forum:

- having discussed a wide range of issues and problems concerning the development of civil society, the social and economic development of the region, as well as the inter-ethnic relations, considers it necessary to:

- facilitate the establishment of a dialogue between non-profit organizations of the North Caucasus Federal District with organizations in other regions of the Russian Federation with a view of full integration and relations development;
- actively develop the institutional mechanisms of cooperation with the government agencies and the business sector to address social and economic problems of local communities;
- participate in developing a unified concept of the state national policy through creating mechanisms for effective civic involvement (consultative / advisory council in the administration of the Plenipotentiary of RF President in the NCFD);
- facilitate the development of the information field to ensure the work of non-profit organizations in the North Caucasus by promoting the active mutually beneficial cooperation with the media and the development of social advertising and public relations;
- more actively introduce innovative methods and technologies in the NGOs’ activities, strengthen the efforts to involve volunteers and supporters among all groups of population, participate in the work on improving the investment appeal of the region;
- improve the skills of NGOs members, promote openness, transparency and accountability of non-profit and public organizations;
- create humanistic social and cultural values among young people and the society as a whole, relying on traditions, with the current trends in the society development being considered;
- participate in the development of small business and social entrepreneurship, involve youth in this activity;
- form a people’s responsibility in relation to their health and an active position in defending their interests in the social sphere.

The public and nonprofit organizations of the North Caucasus Federal District are willing to dialogue with government agencies, business sector, scientific community and other organizations on developing a strategy of the NCFD social and economic development and establishing relations with other Russian regions.
